It’s been a while but blogs are back!
If I’m being honest they aren’t always the easiest thing to sit down and write. Sometimes life is CRAZY busy and the thought of blogging on top of running a business, managing the social media side of things and so much more, give me true anxiety.
Here’s the upside though. Not only do blogs help boost my website and help drive attention to my website and ultimately, my work, it also allows me to share so much more about the people, stories and concepts that went into my work and photos. It’s like the ultimate inside look.
Who knows, one day I might get even more adventurous and offer advice or tips on photography and other things. One day at a time for now.
SOOOOOO, for those of you who may be new here, welcome. Allow me to introduce myself.
I’m Debby. Photographer, wife and mother of three. I’m originally from South Louisiana but have lived in Texas on and off before moving to the Texas Hill Country with my family in 2016. I love the mountains and sweaters and my husband prefers the beach which makes vacation planning fun. I’m an introvert by nature, but I’ve been in the photography/ customer service industry for so long that I’ve learned how to be extroverted when need be. I started photography in 2005 at a Picture People Studio at the North Star Mall in San Antonio. At the time we had about 45 mins to photograph, edit, present and sell photos to clients. It sounds intense, I know, but it truly taught me so much. A lot of what I learned in the studio during that time are some of the same practices and lessons I teach to those I mentor.
If you’re looking for a photographer, I would love to be considered. It’s odd talking about myself sometimes cause I’m not really a big “pick me, choose me, love me” type person BUT, I also understand that having a third wheel on your wedding day is a REALLY BIG deal. Making sure you and your photographer get along should be a big factor when choosing someone. So here are few things I think you should know about me and the HillsCreativeCo Brand.
There’s a little about me, and the HillsCreativeCo Brand.
I hope you will consider me for your future adventures and if your not looking for a photographer at the moment, I hope you will stick around. Who knows what will show up on the blog next but I can’t wait to share some of the love stories I get to capture!
Till then,
Debby!
